Explorer Scouts are young people aged between 14 and their 18th birthday, who want to get something more out of life.
 
Explorers meet as a Unit with adult Leaders, where they organise their programme of activities to suit their own needs.
 
Explorer Scouting can involve you in just about anything, from climbing high mountain peaks, to travelling on trips with other Explorers from around the Country.

 

Some Explorers can also be involved as

Young Leaders working with other sections.

 

Explorer Scouts work towards three awards, the "Diamond Chief Scouts Awards", the "Platinum Chief Scouts Awards" and, the "Queen's Scout Award". Those who achieve this high standard each year are invited to take part in the annual Easter Sunday parade at Windsor Castle.

Explorer Scouts can also work on the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.
