Young Leaders are people of the Explorer Scout age range (14 - 18th birthday) who want to work as a Young Leader with a section of a Scout Group - Beavers, Cubs or Scouts.
Young Leaders spend most of their Scouting time with the section they are working with, but also meet as a Young Leader Unit once a month and also receive Young Leader training.
There is nothing to stop a Young Leader also being a member of a normal Explorer Unit and taking part in the full Explorer programme.
